University of Nebraska alumni visited the school in early 2025. They asked how they could help. Then they helped fund the construction and furnishing of computer lab. The secure building is now complete and the school district has delivered 12 computers, a photocopier for downloaded learning materials, and a projector and screen for computer-based teaching. As of December 2025 the lab and the rest of the school is connected to the local grid. (Previously all electricity was supplied by a solar battery system.)
These resources open the door to incredible new learning opportunities for students. None of this would have been possible without this support in helping us build the computer lab on campus.
Foundation Garden: One of the Foundations newly identified priorities is improved nutrition for the school and community. The Foundation supported the creation of a one-acre, fenced garden where corn, beans, and other crops are planted. The harvest supplements the children’s meals and also provides a modest source of income for the school.
